So Far, The Obama Roadshow Stinks

November 15, 2009 at 3:31 pm (Uncategorized)

Barack Obama: you can dress him upin a cool looking  $2,000 suit. You can give him the finest Lobsters and Champagne to eat and drink .  But you can’t change the empty suit.  Every time he goes abroad, he embarrasses himself and sells out his country.

In Japan today, Obama gave a press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Hatoyama. He was asked this question, for which he was unaccountably unprepared:

And to President Obama, you are a proponent of a nuclear-free world, and you’ve stated, first of all, you would like to visit Hiroshima and Nagasaki while in office. Do you have this desire? And what is your understanding of the historical meaning of the A-bombing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Do you think that it was the right decision?

To understand how stumbling and ill-prepared Obama’s response was, you really have to watch the video. In the end, the reporter repeats the question, did the U.S. do the right thing in bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki? And Obama refuses to answer.

If Barack Obama can’t stick up for the country he represents when he goes overseas, he should stay home.

Obama is really macho here at home against the Republicans and the Tea Party activists. However, once he goes abroad he turns into a coward and lets everybody run over the US, gladly accepting insults and not standing up for the US. Heck, he probably even wants to join them in doing it.

The atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was the right decison because it ultimately saved hundreds of thousands of Japanese and American lives by ending the war. That was all that he needed to say but…that would be expecting too much.

Just surprised he didn’t ask “what war? what bombs?”
